The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) administers awards issued by government agencies and other institutions of higher education for sponsored research, programs, and projects. The mission of ORSP is to support the Morehouse College community by developing and maintaining the infrastructure needed to support the research and training activities of the College, developing the institutional capabilities for research and public service, identifying sources of support for sponsored projects, developing, and implementing training programs for proposal writing, developing institutional policies that relate to sponsored activities, assisting with the proposal development. ORSP also monitors research compliance and provides administrative oversight and support for the Morehouse Institutional Review Board (IRB), which oversees research that involves human subjects.
