Graduation

Apply for graduation. You must apply for graduation for the term in which you plan on completing your degree requirements. Once you apply, your application cannot be withdrawn. However, you can request your application be moved to a term in which you will complete your academic program requirements. If you are unable to complete the requirements for the term you initially applied, you have 45 calendar days after the last day of the term to be considered for that term. Otherwise, you will need to re-apply by sending an email to records@morehouse.edu.

The deadline to apply for graduation and participate in Commencement 2024 is Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Students completing requirements in Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 are eligible to participate in the ceremony in May 2024. The deadline to apply for Summer 2024 is July 12, 2024, these students will be eligible to participate in the ceremony in May 2025.

Complete graduation administrative requirements. Students should check Banner Web for holds in each of the areas below. Removal of the hold(s) will be granted once the required task has been completed.

1) Return books and resources to the Woodruff Library and satisfy any outstanding library fees in full.
2) Satisfy, in full, any outstanding account balance.
3) Obtain clearance from the Office of Student Conduct (if applicable).

A STUDENT MUST

• Morehouse College students must complete ALL DEGREE REQUIREMENTS to participate in Commencement exercises. These include all credit-bearing and non-credit bearing requirements, Crown Forum, mandatory exit exams, seminars, and proficiency examinations, or evaluations.

• Satisfy conduct hold (if applicable)
• Satisfy account balance with Morehouse (includes one-time non-refundable graduation fee)
