Overview
Morehouse College is open for partnering and collaborating with organizations interested in our mission. We invite national and global partners to collaborate with us to improve innovation in teaching, learning, and workforce readiness through strategic collaborations.
Our current collaborators include the National Science Foundation, Google, Salesforce, the Digital Education Council, Amazon Web Services Machine Learning University, and the City of Atlanta. These organizations help strengthen Morehouse’s capacity to prepare students, faculty, and staff for success in an AI-enabled and rapidly evolving world in the classroom and beyond.
Through these partnerships, Morehouse is expanding opportunities in responsible AI use, digital learning, research, ethical innovation, and institutional transformation. These collaborators support the College’s efforts to build future-focused programs, elevate
faculty development, create meaningful student experiences, and position Morehouse as a leader in responsible and inclusive AI innovation for HBCUs.
Together, these partnerships reflect Morehouse College’s commitment to cultivating principled leaders who are equipped to shape the future to lead lives of leadership and service. -
The Project
Project Name: Amazon-MLU Educators Consortium and Transformation Alliance
Purpose: To support university partners in promoting their participation in Amazon-MLU Educators Consortium and Transformation Alliance, initiatives designed to support faculty for integrating industry-aligned Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into college-level curriculum, and work with executive leadership to build capacity for engaging in AI teaching and learning.
Key Points: This project offers hands-on training, open-sourced content that is easily integrated into current curriculum and new courses and programs, and a long-term community of practice. - Participating universities will have access to tools and industry-aligned content to develop courses that will prepare students for careers in AI/ML. - The initiative helps address the AI/ML skills gap while promoting equity in tech education. - Universities will create a press release to celebrate and promote their partnership.
Amazon Executive Quote for Morehouse College: "Morehouse College is excited to partner with AWS to enhance our AI and machine learning curriculum that is industry aligned and student centered" said Juana Mendenhall, Vice Provost of Academic Innovation and Learning at Morehouse College. "This collaboration will upskill our faculty from different STEM fields with valuable resources, AI tool proficiency, and industry insights, improving student AI and machine learning competencies, developing faculty, and preparing Morehouse students for careers and graduate programs in AI and machine learning." -
