    Bio

    Dr. William C. Greene Jr. serves as Assistant Director of Teacher Education at Morehouse College, where he supports the recruitment, preparation, certification, and success of future educators. Working within the Education Department and the Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education, he helps strengthen the college’s teacher preparation programs while advancing Morehouse’s mission to develop transformational leaders who will positively impact schools and communities. The department is committed to preparing culturally responsive educators and increasing the representation of Black men in the teaching profession. 

    With more than three decades of experience spanning P–12 and higher education, Dr. Greene has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, district-level administrator, and educational consultant. His leadership has focused on instructional excellence, educator development, school improvement, family and community engagement, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.

    At Morehouse, Dr. Greene plays a key role in expanding teacher recruitment initiatives, strengthening certification pathways, building school district and community partnerships, coordinating educator preparation requirements, and supporting grant-funded initiatives that enhance student success. He has also led the development of student-centered resources that simplify the teacher certification process and improve candidate support from recruitment through certification.
