Dr. Ruihua Shen received her B.A. in Chinese Literature from Wuhan University in China and received her Ph.D. in comparative literature at the University of Oregon. Dr. Shen has significant experience in designing and leading education abroad experiences during and prior to her service at Morehouse. While at Morehouse since 2014, Dr. Shen has served as the director of the Chinese Studies Program, director of the Morehouse Summer Study in China and Semester Study in China programs at Morehouse College, has served as an evaluator for the Critical Language Scholarship and Gilman International Scholars, and managed the Chinese Visiting Scholars Program at Morehouse College. Dr. Shen will remain on the College’s faculty as she serves as the director of international education.
