ABOUT LIEUTENANT Leland
LT Alex Leland was born in Kalamazoo, MI. In 2017 he began studies at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. In 2021 he graduated with a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics with Economics with a minor in Chinese Language and Culture and commissioned as a prospective Submarine Officer. He then attended Naval Nuclear Power School and Prototype and was assigned to the crew of USS Alabama (GOLD) SSBN 731. Onboard he served as the Chemistry and Radiological Controls Assistant, Quality Assurance Officer, Assistant Engineer, and Assistant Operations Officer. Upon completion of his sea duty he was assigned to NROTC Atlanta Consortium to train and mentor future Naval Officers.
