Bio
Dr. Kimberley Jones serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Morehouse College, where she leads enterprise technology strategy in support of academic excellence and institutional innovation. With more than two decades of leadership in higher education, she is widely recognized for building secure, resilient, and data-informed environments that advance student success and operational effectiveness.
Throughout her career, Dr. Jones has led transformative initiatives in cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation by strengthening institutional agility while optimizing resources across the enterprise. Her work reflects a forward-thinking approach to leveraging technology as a strategic enabler of mission and impact.
A strategic and collaborative leader, Dr. Jones aligns technology initiatives with institutional priorities, governance frameworks, and risk management strategies. Her areas of expertise include AI governance, cybersecurity strategy, enterprise systems, and leading organizational change in complex environments.
Dr. Jones serves on the Microsoft Campus Advisory Board and the Advisory Board for the Georgia Higher Education IT Leadership Summit. She is also an active member of the Associated Colleges of the South and the Consortium of Liberal Arts Colleges (CLAC). She holds a Ph.D. in Technology Education from Mississippi State University and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
