About the Professor
Dr. Howard Jean-Denis is a professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Morehouse College.
He serves in several roles an entrepreneur, researcher, and activist in the areas of social justice within the African Diaspora. His degrees include a PhD in strategy and entrepreneurship from UMASS Amherst with publications in several high-quality outlets across the world. Additionally, he holds an MBA in International business and a BS in economics and finance.
His mentoring, research, and teaching has been featured on national television through ABC News Good Morning America, Diversity Inc. and the Academy of Management.
A native of Haiti, Dr. Jean-Denis blends his cultural heritage with business experience while in the classroom, conducting corporate workshops, or serving his clients. An award-winning entrepreneur, Dr. Jean-Denis has started several firms in the last decade. In 2023, he created Lakou Capital to invest in early-stage ventures in healthcare, energy and fintech spaces and conduct executive education. His entrepreneurial initiatives have received funding and recognition from the Obama Administration, Pfizer, United Nations and Environmental Defense fund.
