Morehouse College Tour Information

Thank you for inquiring about the campus tours at Morehouse College. Since 1867, we have a long tradition of preparing young men to be exemplary models of manhood, leadership and citizenship. We invite you and your family to come tour of our campus to learn more about academic programs, student experience, and why we would be a great place to pursue your educational journey. To help maximize your visit, the information below will aid you in making reservations for a campus tour. 

Visiting Campus


MONDAY-WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY (10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.)
TUESDAY-THURSDAY (10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.)

Each campus tour is preceded by a brief presentation. This program is ideal for prospective students with parties no larger than five (5) total guests. Parties with more than seven (7) total guests should request a group tour described below.

Special Group Tours are designed for groups whose needs may not be met by our regular schedule of daily tours and admissions events.

Reservations can be made up to four months in advance, and must be made at least three weeks in advance.

Tours are given Monday-Friday by appointment, with the exception of university holidays and breaks, testing periods, and other College closing dates 

Space Availability: There is a limited number of spaces available during the given time slots for guided tours and space reservation are on a first come basis.

Tour Duration/Content
Tours are scheduled to last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

  • First 20 minutes - Brief history, admission requirements & current costs (if applicable to visitors), and preliminary questions & answers period;
  • 45 minutes - walking tour of the campus with few stops;
  • Last 10 minutes - answering of additional questions and escort to the Campus Bookstore.

Tour Guides

Tours are conducted by the Morehouse College Student Ambassadors commonly known as MCAT (Morehouse College Ambassador Team). Ambassadors are trained on the College’s history and Admissions requirements and are equipped to represent the College and answer most questions posed to them by visitors that cover a multitude of topics.

Female Visitors

Please note that female participants, other than group chaperones, WILL NOT be permitted to tour the Morehouse College campus. Prior arrangements should be coordinated with Spelman College. The only exceptions are in cases where female family member(s) are escorting a prospective male participant.  

Arrival Instructions

Visitors are asked to arrive at least (10) minutes prior to scheduled time. Upon arrival to the campus, please report to the Morehouse College Visitors Center, located at the lower level of the Morehouse College Parking Deck to the left. For the benefit of all visitors, and in consideration of demanding time schedules, information sessions will begin at the scheduled time. To avoid forfeiture of your scheduled tour time, please notify the Office of Admissions at (470) 639-0355, or email at early signs of late arrival.

Inclement Weather

Walking tours WILL NOT be conducted in the case of inclement weather. This is to protect the safety and welfare of all tour participants. Tour status will be updated at the scheduled time of tour. Information Sessions will be conducted for all visitors during this time. 

Traveling to Campus 

By Bus: 
Unloading of passengers should take place in front of the Morehouse College Leadership Center at the corner of West End Ave. and Westview Drive. Please be advised that buses are NOT allowed to drive on campus.

By Car:

Modifications / Rescheduling

If the information previously given needs to be modified or is incorrect, changes should be communicated immediately so that adjustments can be made and a revised confirmation will be sent. If there is a request to cancel or reschedule a confirmed tour, you may do so through our website or contact Marilyn Bibby, Assistant Director of Campus Tours and Special Events via email or phone (470) 639-0606.  

Rescheduled tours will be given a new confirmation email, based on availability, and will be communicated within 24 hours.
