    Official Transcripts Explained

The Importance of Sending Official Transcripts

Morehouse College requires official transcripts to verify academic records. Transcripts confirm:

    • Completed coursework
    • Final grades
    • Graduation status
    • Eligibility for admission, placement, financial aid, and scholarships

Only transcripts sent directly from the issuing school or college, with an official seal, authorized signature, or secure electronic certification, are considered official.

    In-Progress Official High School Transcript

Current high school students applying to programs at Morehouse College should arrange for an in-progress official high school transcript to be sent. This document:

    • Lists any classes currently in progress
    • Must be issued and sent directly by the high school with the required seal, signature, or secure certification

    Official Final High School Transcript

After graduation, a final official high school transcript must be submitted. This transcript:

    • Includes all completed coursework and final grades
    • Confirms graduation
    • Must be sent directly from the high school with the school’s seal, authorized signature, or secure certification

    Official College Transcript

Students who have completed college coursework should submit an official college transcript to Morehouse College. This transcript:

    • Reflects all completed courses, grades, and any degrees earned
    • Must be sent directly by the college or university with the institution’s seal, authorized signature, or secure electronic delivery
