About the Professor
Dr. Maxwell Nimako research interests are religion and voting behavior, ethnic politics, electoral politics, African politics, political institutions, democracy and public policy. His dissertation explores how religion shapes voting behavior in emerging democracies, focusing on the case of Ghana. His dissertation contributes to the scholarship on voting behavior and the role of religion in politics in an emerging democracy.
