Candace Bazemore is a digital, social media, and marketing strategist with extensive experience supporting business, government, and nonprofit organizations. She has held senior roles across the banking, healthcare, and telecommunications industries and currently serves as Director of Digital Strategy and Transformation at Morehouse College, where she leads digital innovation, marketing transformation, and audience engagement initiatives.
Candace is the Founder of Profit Scholars, a platform focused on helping creatives and professionals build wealth through their expertise using AI-powered systems and scalable strategies. She is also the Co-Founder of Sister Girl Media Group and a Co-Host of the “Dear Sister Girl” and “Girl, What You Know About” podcasts produced through Sister Girl Studios, where she centers storytelling, culture, and community for women.
She is the author of From Side Hustle to Millionaire: 10 Steps to Unlock Riches Through Your Expertise, Assets, and AI-Powered Systems (Profit Scholars Library) and co-author of Shabbat and Sunday Dinner, an award-winning Black and Jewish children’s book. In May 2025, the book was recognized by Dr. Bernice King and Professor Susannah Heschel, daughters of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, for continuing their fathers’ legacy of community building through children’s literature.
Candace is a committed supporter of diaspora development, education, and arts investment and advancement, with a particular focus on Africa and the global Black diaspora. She has completed missionary work in Liberia through Mission of Hope Liberia and has served as Director of Marketing and Communications for both the Liberian Consulate and the University Consortium for Liberia, supporting education access, international collaboration, and cultural exchange.
She continues to serve diaspora business and arts communities as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for the Senegal Chamber of Commerce, where her work supports trade, entrepreneurship, and cross-continental partnerships. Candace is also the Co-Executive Director and Marketing Director for the Journey Home Film Festival: ATL Edition, a diaspora-focused film festival that amplifies global Black storytelling, centers African and Afro-diasporic narratives, and builds cultural and economic bridges between creators, communities, and institutions. Additionally, she currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival (MCHRFF).
Committed to civic leadership and youth development, Candace currently serves as Board President of Glory Days 4 on 4 Flag Football, supporting teamwork, leadership, and community engagement through sport. She has also served as Board President of Amario’s Art Academy, a member of United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Women United Cabinet, an Advisory Board member for New Leaders Council, and on the Fund Development Council for the Junior League of DeKalb County, Georgia. She previously served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Junior League of Atlanta and was the Founding Chair of the JLA Leadership Institute, earning the Committee of the Year Award. She was also named American Business Women’s Association Chapter Woman of the Year.
Candace is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, a Kennesaw State University KIP Program alumna, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). She has been recognized as part of the Outstanding Atlanta Class, Leadership DeKalb, Georgia WIN List Academy, Project Understanding, and the United Way VIP Program, and has previously been named to Who’s Who in Black Atlanta. She has also served as President of the Atlanta Micro Fund, an Ambassador for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and a board member of the Atlanta Film Festival and Atlanta Film Society.
A Virginia native, Candace has lived in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia, and continues to build platforms, stories, and systems that advance culture, opportunity, and global connection.
