STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE

All traditional full-time students enrolled at our Morehouse College are required to have health insurance coverage. Each term, your student account will be automatically charged for the Morehouse College student health insurance plan.

If you are planning to attend our Atlanta university and already have health insurance, such as through a parent’s plan, you may opt-out by waiving Morehouse College’s coverage—provided your current policy meets all United Healthcare requirements.

• Waiving Coverage: If your existing health insurance meets the necessary United Healthcare requirements, you can waive Morehouse College’s student health insurance.
• Keeping Coverage: If you choose to keep the Morehouse College student health insurance, please confirm your enrollment in the plan as soon as possible.
• Important for Athletes: Starting July 1, 2023, all Morehouse College athletes are required to enroll in the Morehouse College Health Insurance Plan, regardless of other coverage.

Waiver Deadline

** Students will see a health insurance charge for the fall and Spring semesters. The per term charge will appear on your account as stated above. New Students are the only students eligible to waive their health insurance in the Spring semester.
