Through Academic Innovation and Learning (AIL), the College provides access to trusted artificial intelligence tools that support learning, research, creativity, and administrative productivity. These tools are integrated into our digital ecosystem to enhance teaching, streamline workflows, and empower the Morehouse community to explore AI responsibly.

    Below are the currently supported AI platforms available to the Morehouse community.

    • Microsoft Copilot Chat

      Why We Like This Tool

      Microsoft Copilot Chat is used across Morehouse College. Copilot helps students, faculty, and staff complete tasks more efficiently by assisting with writing, research, data analysis, and document creation.

      Common uses include:
      • Drafting emails, reports, and presentations
      • Summarizing long documents or meeting notes
      • Brainstorming ideas for projects or research
      • Generating outlines for assignments or proposal

    • Google Workspace for Education

      Why We Like This Tool

      Google Gemini is Google’s advanced AI assistant integrated into Google Workspace for Education, which includes tools such as Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Gmail. Gemini enhances collaboration, writing, and information organization for students, faculty, and staff.

      Examples of how the Morehouse community uses Gemini:

      • Draft and revise written content in Google Docs
      • Generate presentation slides and summaries in Google Slides
      • Assist with spreadsheet analysis and formulas in Google Sheets
      • Help brainstorm ideas for research, class assignments, and projects
      • Support collaborative writing and document editing

      Gemini works alongside familiar Google Workspace tools, helping users improve

      organize, analyze, and interact with their own documents and source materials.
      Students, faculty, and staff can upload course materials, research articles, reports, or notes and use NotebookLM to explore ideas, summarize content, and generate insights based specifically on their uploaded information.

      Key capabilities include:

      • Summarizing complex academic materials
      • Generating study guides from course readings
      • Creating outlines and key takeaways from research papers
      • Asking questions about uploaded documents
      • Organizing research notes and references

      NotebookLM is especially useful for students conducting research projects, faculty preparing course materials, and staff analyzing reports or institutional documents.
