About the Professor
Dr. Sinead Younge, Ph.D., is the Danforth Endowned Professor in Psychology at Morehouse College.
Dr. Younge received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in Africana Studies at San Diego State University and Master of Arts and doctorate in ecological-community psychology with a cognate in urban affairs from Michigan State University. Dr. Younge completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Fellowship in Research and Science Teaching (FIRST) Program at Emory University. Dr. Younge is the beneficiary of several training programs, including the McNair Scholars Program, the National Institute of General Medicine’s Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program, and the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship Program (APA) MFP. Dr. Younge conducts health research with communities of color and examines the social determinants of health, in addition to volunteering with prison education initiatives throughout Georgia.
