About Dr. RUBINA F. MALIK, PH.D.
Dr. Rubina F. Malik is a senior assistant professor in the Business and Economics Division at Morehouse College.
Dr. Malik is a global learning and development expert with over 20 years of experience in academia, consulting and professional services. She is note for expertise in driving development of high caliber talent, creating learning curricula, coaching, mentoring new and established leaders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and senior management across multiple business units. Delivering organizational effectiveness, productivity, profitability, innovation, training and social responsibility achievements.
Dr. Malik has served as a strategic business advisor for competitive organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and universities, including Microsoft, Google, UPS, CDC, Home Depot, Deloitte, Streamline Communication, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Morehouse College. Her work has focused on creating and propelling programs in organizational development, change management, conflict resolution, employee motivation and retention, teamwork, collaboration, management development, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion. Comprehensive experience liaising with business leaders on identifying and closing skills and learning gaps with timely and relevant learning interventions. She has extensive experience in the business world particularly in the engagement, retention, promotion, and development of diverse talent. Her scholarly activities expand insight into and lend credibility to human capital development, ultimately creating real and practical globalized opportunities for individuals and organizations.
A TEDx speaker, Dr. Malik also serves as a SXSW mentor and a popular guest speaker at other conferences and on podcasts. She is frequently published in industry magazines, including highly respected academic and business journals such as the Harvard Business Review, and serves on several non-profit boards that actively support education and equity-based incentives.
Dr. Malik earned a Ph.D. in human resources organization development from the University of Georgia, an MBA in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology. Her certifications include: Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF; Certified Professional of Human Resources (PHR); Associate Certified Coach (ACC), International Coaching Federation; and Certified Professional Coach (PCC), New Ventures West. She is also certified in Team Coaching (TCI) and trained in DiSC and EQi.
