About Dr.Ondra Dismukes
Ondra Dismukes, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of English at Morehouse College, where she teaches Composition I (Eng 101), Composition II (Eng 102), Immigrant Voices (ENG 121) and a Survey of African American Literature II (Eng 475).
Ondra Krouse Dismukes, aka “Dr. O,” is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English. She teaches courses in Composition, Introduction to Literature, and African American Literature. She earned an ABJ in public relations and a PhD in English from the University of Georgia. She has published extensively on African American women’s narratives and is the owner of O’Writes, LLC, which she established to help women of color along their pathway to publication. She currently resides in Snellville, Georgia, with her husband, their two children, one dog, an adopted cat, and innumerable fish. On her best days, Dr. O thrives at the intersection of Black vernacular culture narratology.
