About Krista Clark
The work of Krista Clark utilizes the visual language of architecture and the literal physicality of building materials to create collaged drawings and site-specific installations.
Krista Clark, MFA, was born in Burlington, Vermont and currently lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia. Her work is in the permanent collection of the High Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Atlanta, GA.Clark’s work has been featured at the Studio Museum in Harlem, RedLine Contemporary Art Center in
Denver, The United States Embassy in Bratislava, Slovakia, The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center and the High Museum in Atlanta.
Her work utilizes the visual language of architecture and the literal physicality of building materials to create collaged drawings and site-specific installations. Each work is steered by her observations of shifting urban landscapes then broken down and retold through abstraction. By incorporating building materials as formal components alongside conventional drawn elements, Clark augments our relationship to these materials, and ultimately the space and community in which we use them.
