    About Dr. Hutto 

    Dr. Hutto has been a faculty member at Morehouse College since 2001 and serves as the Inaugural Dean of the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS), established in Spring 2022. 

    This division oversees significant academic departments, including Education, Kinesiology, Sports Studies, and Physical Education, as well as Morehouse Online, a B.A. Degree Completion Program initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Hutto's prior roles at Morehouse College include chairing the Division of Life Sciences and the Department of Kinesiology, Sports Studies, and Physical Education. Alongside his administrative duties, he serves as an Associate Professor in Kinesiology with a research focus on student retention and graduate school preparation. Dr. Hutto's scholarly contributions have been recognized in scholarly journals and international conferences. He is passionate about recruiting and mentoring high-caliber students, guiding them towards successful careers in education, athletics, human performance, and allied health. Dr. Hutto's commitment to education extends back to his experience in K-12 education, where he served as a teacher, assistant coach, and assistant dean of community life.
