    Morehouse College GAP Funding

    Morehouse College GAP Funding

The purpose of this funding is to help bridge any financial gaps after students have explored all other Financial Aid options.

GAP funds are institutional resources provided to help students cover direct costs after all other aid, including Federal Direct Loans, has been applied. These funds are a one-time allocation and are not guaranteed for future academic years due to limited availability. If outside scholarships or awards are applied to your account, the GAP funding will be reduced by the amount of those external scholarships or awards.

If students have a scholarship on their account from one or more of the funding sources listed below, this would be considered GAP funding:

    • General Restricted Scholarship
    • General Endowed Scholarship
    • Endowed Board of Trustees
    • Morehouse Special Scholarship
    • Endowment Fund
    • Robbie Robinson Scholarship
    • BNY Mellon Scholarship
    • Morehouse Special Grant
    • Endowed Donors
    • Endowed Scholarship (Founders)
    • Kawame J. Manley Student Success Scholarship
    • Dorothy Compton Emergency Fund
    • Campaign Drive - Morehouse Fund
    • Centennial Class Endowed Scholarship
    • General Education Board

A Morehouse education is an investment into your future. We want to emphasize that it is the responsibility of you and your family to seek out additional funding sources for the 2025-2026 academic year as GAP funding may not be available. While we are here to assist you, it’s important not to rely solely on the college for all your financial needs. We encourage you to actively search for external scholarship opportunities that may help with the costs of your Morehouse education for future academic years.
