    APPLY FOR EXTERNAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

There are many scholarship opportunities that do not involve Morehouse College directly. These are considered outside scholarships. To locate outside scholarships, you may want to contact your high school guidance counselor, local civic organizations (i.e., Rotary, Lions, etc.), religious groups, places of employment, and the web.

    Reporting Outside Scholarship Funds

Students must report to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships any scholarships, grants, loans and other types of assistance from various outside sources, including their high school, community, civic, and professional associations and other programs.

Upon receiving all external scholarship funds, Morehouse College will reassess a student’s eligibility for restricted and need-based aid. According to federal and state regulations, a student cannot receive scholarships and other need-based financial aid exceeding their demonstrated financial need. Furthermore, regulations also mandate that the total aid a student receives, including institutional, federal, or state aid, cannot surpass their cost of attendance.
