Schedule a Tour
Thank you for your interest in touring Morehouse. Our 66-acre campus is located in southwest Atlanta (about a 15-minute drive from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and minutes from midtown Atlanta).
We resumed on-campus tours on Monday, October 18, 2021, and look forward to seeing you.
To keep everyone as safe as possible, we have modified the size of tour sessions. We require visitors to adhere to safety measures that have been adopted by Morehouse to help mitigate risks related to COVID.
Individual and Family Tours
Monday - Friday
10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 2 p.m.
A brief presentation precedes each campus tour. This program is ideal for prospective students with parties no larger than five guests. Parties with more than five guests should request a group tour described below.
Tuesday and Thursday
10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Parties with five or more guests should consider scheduling a group tour so that Morehouse can accommodate your request while remaining in compliance with COVID-19 visitor protocols. We ask that you register in the group. Please be mindful that larger tour groups are subject to being split into smaller groups. In addition to registration, we ask that you contact Antonio McFarland, Senior Recruitment Manager, at email@example.com to confirm your attendance or if you have any additional questions.
Tours are given Monday-Friday by appointment, except for holidays, academic calendar breaks, testing periods, and other closing dates. There is a limited number of spaces available during the given time slots for guided tours, and space reservations are on a first-come basis. Visitors must register for an on-campus tour. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept walk-up visitors due to safety reasons.
Visitors are those who are not faculty, staff, or students at Morehouse or another Atlanta University Center Consortium institution.
- Visitors are required to always wear a face mask and maintain a physical distance of six feet while on campus
- Visitors are prohibited from being on campus if they have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past two weeks, are exhibiting signs or symptoms of illness of COVID-19, or were in close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19
- Depending on their relationship to the institution, including the extent of time they spend on campus and the type and duration of engagement with institution employees and students, some visitors may be required to participate in Morehouse vaccination protocols
- The Assembly Room used to host campus visitors will be cleaned/disinfected after each group leaves for the walking portion of your tour
Tour Duration and Information
Tours are scheduled to last approximately 75 minutes. The tour covers a brief history of Morehouse, admission requirements, costs, a walking tour, a question-and-answer period, a visit to the campus bookstore, and an opportunity to submit an application to Morehouse (application fee waivers will be available during certain times of the year).
Tours are conducted by Morehouse College Student Ambassadors. These student ambassadors know Morehouse's history, admissions requirements and can answer most visitor questions from their hands-on experience.
Visitors should arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled tour. After entering campus, go to the Morehouse College Visitors Center located at the lower level of the Morehouse College Parking Deck. For the benefit of all visitors and in consideration of demanding time schedules, information sessions will begin at the scheduled time. To avoid missing your scheduled tour time, notify the Office of Admissions at (470) 639-0999 at early signs of late arrival.
Walking tours are not conducted in the case of inclement weather. This is to protect the safety and welfare of all tour participants. Information sessions are conducted for all visitors during this time.
Traveling to Campus
General parking is available in the Morehouse parking deck for a nominal fee.
Unloading of bus passengers should take place in front of the Morehouse College Leadership Center at the corner of West End Ave. and Westview Drive. Buses are not allowed to drive on campus.
Modifications and Rescheduling
Communicate any needed changes immediately so we can send an updated tour confirmation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rescheduled tours will be given a new confirmation email based on availability and communicated within 24 hours.
