    Know Before You Go

We’re so excited to welcome you to the House! Here are some helpful answers to make your Admitted Students Weekend smooth and memorable.

    What is Admitted Students Weekend?

Admitted Students Weekend (ASW) is a multi-day experience designed to celebrate and welcome admitted students to Morehouse College. The weekend includes academic sessions, campus tours, parent workshops, student panels, and a chance to immerse yourself in Morehouse culture.

What are the dates for ASW?

Admitted Students Weekend takes place from Thursday, April 24th through Saturday, April 26th. Activities are planned each day, with the majority of programming happening on Friday.

    What should we wear?

Attire varies by day. Here’s a helpful guide:

    • Thursday is a casual day—come comfortable and ready for fun! We’ll be hosting an active and engaging Admitted Students Mixer, so sneakers and relaxed outfits are encouraged. Note: it will be outside so to check weather and dress accordingly.
    • Friday calls for elevated casual or business casual attire. This is an active day with walking tours, sessions, and official programming. We want students and families to represent themselves well while still being comfortable for a day on campus. For admitted students - polos, slacks, or khaki pants are encouraged.
    • Saturday is a Casual — The closing day is light and relaxed with optional activities.

Tip: Comfortable shoes are highly recommended for all days!

    Are meals provided?
    • Lunch is provided on Friday in our dining hall, Chiversfor admitted students during the main programming block. Parents and admitted students’ guests can purchase lunch in Chivers.
    • All other meals (breakfasts, dinners, and meals for family members) will be the responsibility of each guest. A list of local dining options will be available during check-in.
Can parents and guardians attend ASW?

Yes! We have a full schedule of Parent-Only programming on Friday, including panels, resource workshops, and the opportunity to meet Morehouse faculty and staff.

    Is overnight housing provided?

No, overnight accommodation is not provided by Morehouse College. Families are encouraged to book lodging at nearby hotels. A list of recommended hotels is available on our ASW website.

How do I sign up for the 1-on-1 enrollment meetings?
