    What is Admitted Students Weekend?

Admitted Students Weekend (ASW) is a 2-day event for newly admitted students and their families to visit our campus and experience Morehouse firsthand.

What are the dates for ASW?

Admitted Students Weekend takes place from Friday, April 17th through Saturday, April 18th. Activities are planned each day, with the majority of programming happening on Friday.

Do I need to register in advance to attend Admitted Students Weekend?

Yes. Invitations to register are sent to each admitted student’s Morehouse email a few days after they view their admission decision. Please check your email for registration details and access.

How many guests may attend with an admitted student?
Admitted students may bring up to three guests. To ensure the best experience for all attendees, we encourage guests to be limited primarily to parents or guardians, as much of the programming is designed with them in mind
What time should we plan to arrive each day?

Friday will offer an optional early check-in with rolling arrival and a mixer for early arrivals. Saturday is our primary programming day, and guests should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for parking, walking, and check-in if they did not participate in early check-in.

Where do we check in when we arrive on campus?

Friday check-in will take place at the Morehouse College Welcome Center. Saturday check-in will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel. Guests are encouraged to reference the interactive map for directions to all programming locations throughout the weekend.

Will we need a QR code or confirmation email to check in?

Yes. A QR code will be sent to the admitted student’s Morehouse email 48 hours prior to the event. Please have this QR code available to present upon arrival.

Is there a dress code for Admitted Students Weekend?

There is no formal dress code. We encourage students and families to wear comfortable attire that represents them well, keeping in mind there will be walking and outdoor activities.

Families traveling from out of town are encouraged to explore hotel accommodations through our official Admitted Students Weekend website, where special rates with hotel partners are available.
