Freshmen Send-Offs
Morehouse College hosts send-off events, welcoming new students and families into a legacy of excellence, leadership, and brotherhood spanning over 150 years.
Welcome to the House!
Morehouse College proudly continues its tradition of welcoming new incoming and transfer students, along with their families, to our esteemed brotherhood through our annual Alumni Send-Off receptions. Each summer, Morehouse alumni and parents in various cities across the nation extend invitations to students and their families, offering them a unique opportunity to connect with local alumni, fellow first-year and transfer students, and College representatives in an intimate setting before they arrive on campus.
These gatherings serve as a pivotal moment as students transition to becoming a Man of Morehouse. The Freshmen Send-Offs provide a platform for students to begin forming lasting connections within the Morehouse family, while also allowing parents to engage with the College community that will support their sons throughout their academic journey. These gatherings not only celebrate the incoming class but also reinforce the strong sense of community and lifelong connections that are hallmarks of the Morehouse experience.
