Physical Plant

In addition to grounds and custodial maintenance, the following physical plant units work to fulfill the mission of the college, the vision of the president, and the goals and objectives of the Morehouse campus community. Work Center
Aggressively handles all work requests for the campus. After hours contact campus safety at (404) 215-2666

Access Control
Helps to ensure a safe campus environment by processing picture ID’s for students, staff and faculty. They also handle all lock and key requests for the campus, as well as student meal plans.

Logistics/Transportation
The logistics unit manages the transportation requests for college business and special events. They also handle all requests to have furniture equipment and staff moved on campus. In support of our mission to provide an attractive environment, they also manage all refuse removal.

Fire Safety 
The fire safety coordinator manages the inspection of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and fire panels for campus. This unit also collaboratively works to conduct required fire drills, as well as elevator inspections and maintenance.

Maintenance
The maintenance team handles requests for general maintenance and repairs including painting, carpentry and electrical.

Mechanical
The mechanical team maintains all HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment. They also handle our campus steam and condensate infrastructure as well as all indoor air quality needs.
