Dr. Cassandra Wells is a tenured associate professor of marketing and sales who has spent 23 years growing the marketing concentration into the largest in the Business and Economics Division by focusing on the students. She served as the marketing program director from 2009-2021.

Dr. Wells joined Morehouse in 1999 and lead the marketing program from AY 08/09 to AY 20/21. She is the Morehouse champion for the AUC Media Sales Institute which is now in its 6th year. She’s has grown the marketing program into the largest program concentration in the Business division. She is the advisor to the Morehouse Marketing Association which in February 2018 celebrated 10 years of its student-planned conference, the Morehouse Marketing Conclave.
Dr. Wells is also the founder of the interdisciplinary professional sales minor program, which was funded by a $500,000+ grant she obtained from the 3M Frontline Sales Program.

Dr. Wells also earned a B.A. in business administration from Clark College and an MBA in marketing from the University of Florida. She began a professional career in sales at IBM as a systems engineer in 1981 where she sold mid-range systems and software to Fortune 500 companies. She left IBM to obtain her Ph.D. in marketing (2000) from Georgia Institute of Technology.
