Shetty, Shekar

After receiving a PhD in Finance from the University of North Texas, Dr. Shekar Shetty taught finance at various universities in the United States, including Western New England University in Massachusetts where he served as a tenured Professor of Finance. He also taught at universities abroad. Professor Shetty’s teaching interests are in Corporate Finance, Investments, Financial Institutions, and Risk Management. Dr. Shetty has published numerous articles in refereed journals and presented his research papers at various national and international conferences. Professor Shetty had introduced and taught many new courses while teaching at his previous universities. He also established new finance/investment clubs for which he served as a faculty advisor in the past. Dr. Shetty was a recipient of the Fulbright Scholar Award to teach and conduct research at Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia in 2009.
