2019 SACSCOC REAFFIRMATION
Morehouse College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate degrees. Reaffirmation of accreditation occurs every 10 years. When SACSCOC reaffirms the accreditation of a college/university, the organization examines every aspect of the college. The review explores everything from financial stability to curriculum to board governance to student complaints. The entire process will span more than two years.
Morehouse College began preparing for reaffirmation in November 2016 and has been diligently working on aspects of the process ever since. Multiple parties from around the College are actively involved. A major part of the reaffirmation process will be a visit to the campus from the SACSCOC On-Site review team which will take place October/November 2018. The final decision on the College’s reaffirmation will be given in June 2019.
This website is intended to give members of our community and supporters information concerning this process. Any questions can be directed to the Coordinator of SACSCOC Reaffirmation, Dr. Keith Hollingsworth.
