Dr. Patricia Pogal is an associate professor of Spanish at Morehouse College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University, a Ph.D. from Harvard University, and a juris doctorate from Georgia State University. She has worked for the Embassy of Spain in Washington, DC, Argentine Airlines, and in international personal banking at C &S Bank in Atlanta.Â
She has a particular interest in study abroad programs, stemming from her own participation beginning at age 14. She has taken college students on study abroad opportunities to Oaxaca, Mexico; Córdoba, Spain: the Dominican Republic; Cádiz, Spain; Guanajuato, Mexico; Havana, Cuba; and Madrid, Spain. Dr. Pogal has directed summer Spanish programs at Morehouse College for both students and faculty–which entailed hiring faculty, accepting students, and putting together weeknight and weekend activities.
