Inside Hubert House

Charles Hubert House, affectionately themed as the “Soul House,” is known for its connection and commitment to spiritual guidance and enlightenment. Constructed in 1970, Hubert House is a three-story residential building that houses 116 students in double-occupancy rooms.

The iSTEAM Residential Academic Program is located in this building, which focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math and the opportunities surrounding these subjects. Students housed in this building will have exposure to programming covering these topics.

Dr. Charles Dubois Hubert ‘1909 served as acting president of Morehouse College from 1938 to 1940, just before the tenure of President Benjamin Elijah Mays. He also served as director of the School of Religion and professor of church history. In addition, he served as pastor of several Baptist churches in New York, Georgia, and South Carolina.
