About
Dr. Wallace Derricotte is an assistant professor of chemistry at Morehouse and principal investigator of the Derricotte Research Group for Computational Quantum Chemistry.
Derricotte graduated from Morehouse College with a B.S. in chemistry and earned a Ph.D. in computational chemistry from Emory University. During his doctorate work, Derricotte received the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship award. His research group published work in international scientific journals, including The Journal of Physical Chemistry and The International Journal of Quantum Chemistry. His group received grant funding from NSF and the IBM-HBCU Quantum Center. Additionally, Derricotte has an educational YouTube channel called “Professor Derricotte” that provides more than 100 free chemistry lecture videos to thousands of students in 18 different countries.
