Ondra Dismukes, Ph.D., is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Morehouse College, where she teaches Composition I (ENG 101), Composition II (ENG 102), and A Survey of African American Literature II (ENG 475). She earned her Ph.D. in English from The University of Georgia, a Master of Liberal Arts with a concentration in English from Auburn University Montgomery, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from The University of Georgia. Her research interests include Digital Humanities, Black Women’s Writing, Haiku, and Dance. Dr. Dismukes has presented her research nationally and internationally, and she has published extensively in state, national, and international journals. She lives in Snellville, GA with her husband, two children, one dog, adopted cat, and innumerable fish.
