Upward Bound Math Science State Center

The Morehouse College Upward Bound Math/Science State Center is designed to provide 66 eligible students an intensive six-week summer curriculum to students currently enrolled in high school throughout the state of Georgia. This program assists students to develop critical thinking, scientific, analytical skills, and effective expressions. As a result, of Research Topics in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Computer Science student will be exposed to a variety of science, math and engineering careers. Essential core classes in Technical Writing, Latin, Mathematics and Computer Literacy are also included in the six-week residential program.                                                                                                                

Students will be given the opportunity to work in various labs and get hands-on computer experience and innovative instructional methodologies.

Applicants must be entering into the 10th or11th grade in a school located in the state of Georgia. Applicants must be classified as a first generation college student and must meet the federalgovernment guidelines for low-income families.
