Visiting Assistant Professor of European and World History

The Morehouse College Humanities Division History Program seeks applications for a one-year visiting assistant professorship in European and world history for the 2021-2022 academic year. The individual appointed to this position will offer courses including Ancient History, the History of Modern Europe, and World History: Topical Approach, which will be offered for majors and students in the General Education Program. This position carries a teaching load of 12 credit hours per term.
Morehouse is the nation’s only historically black, liberal arts college for men. Located near downtown Atlanta, Georgia, the College has an enrollment of over 2000 students, and has produced alumni who excel in a wide range of fields and professions.
We will consider candidates at the ABD stage, but an earned Ph.D. is required by Aug. 1, 2021. A record of expertise in the field and demonstrated teaching effectiveness in higher education are also required.
