Welcome to the House Ceremony
Martin Luther King, Jr., Spike Lee, Maynard Jackson, Sam Jackson, Walter Massey, John David Washington, and Louis Sullivan all began their chapters in the Morehouse story as new students. The Morehouse legacy endures with the arrival of the 2022 class of first-time freshmen and transfer students. This ceremony serves as your official entry point into the Morehouse experience. Welcome to the House.
“Walk among the hills listening to the Voice. Then, become the Voice.” (1979) “Morehouse, do not make God repent for having created you.” (1980) –Howard Thurman
