New Student Orientation at Morehouse
The orientation program after which others are modeled, New Student Orientation (NSO) at Morehouse College is a week of exciting, enriching, stimulating, and life-changing experiences designed to prepare new students for life as a student at the only HBCU for Black men.
During this week, new students become immersed in the Morehouse learning and living environment and engage in a wide range of programming designed to empower them as Men of Morehouse.
- Explore the historic impact of Morehouse in the world
- Learn many Morehouse traditions
- Meet dynamic student leaders, faculty, staff and administrators
- Discover important resources and services
- Get answers to frequently asked questions
We remain committed to our mission to develop men with disciplined minds who will lead lives of leadership and service all over the globe in virtually every field of endeavor. Get ready to be challenged to be introspective, reflective, accountable, assertive, and responsible in your role as a leader. During the week, you will also be encouraged to explore the many depths of your potential and to work toward your highest goals. You will meet and bond with other students, both new and returning, some of whom will become your lifelong friends. You will be able to adjust to your new environment before classes start. Most important, you will begin to take your place among the pantheon of thought leaders, high achievers, trailblazers, innovators, and influencers who make up the Morehouse legacy.
