Office of Student Development

The Office of Student Development supports the College’s mission by representing the student body’s interests across the institution, and by promoting student development and success to Morehouse’s diverse student body.

The Office of Student Development consists of the following units; Athletics, Athletic Compliance, Campus Safety, Student Counseling and Disabilities Center, Student Health Services, Auxillary & Dining Services, and Department of Student Services, which includes the Dean of the College. The Office and its units provide comprehensive services and programs that support and promote student academic, personal, and career success and development. We promote the academic and personal success of our diverse student body, by applying a co-curricular developmental approach that is undergirded by the seven pillars of the college: academic excellence, respect, integrity, awareness, truth, compassion, and spirituality. Our professionals work collaboratively, across the college, to provide a broad range of resources and opportunities that promote learning, growth, and a unique college experience, leading to responsible, engaged, resilient, successful, and impactful graduates.

We invite students, parents, faculty, and all stakeholders to engage us if you believe that we can be helpful to the success of any of our students.

The mission of student development is to provide a community environment that is beneficial to growth and development of students in all areas of their college experience. We strive to ensure that every visit to a student services area leads to the development of the knowledge, skills, and abilities identified as essential for student success. With a sharp focus on service, knowing and understanding student needs, and our positive response to those needs is our highest priority.
