Division of Student Development
The Division of Student Development Leadership Team is dedicated and committed to enhancing and enriching each student’s collegiate experience. We are here to facilitate programs, services, and experiences that support the mission and vision of the College, as well as help students develop into leaders.
Dean Washington is directly responsible for managing the entities that formulate the Office of the Dean of the College, which include the following units: Career and Professional Development; the First-Year Experience; Housing and Residential Education; International Student Services; Recreation, Intramurals and Fitness; Student Conduct; and Student Life. In his capacity as AVPSS/DOC, he works to ensure that all matters involving the Morehouse student experience embody everything that one needs and more for holistic development.
Dean Washington leads a diverse portfolio of seven departments in the Division of Student Services that are dedicated to providing a premier student experience that commences with New Student Orientation and continues through commencement. The Division includes 12 on-campus residence halls, New Student Orientation experience, Recreation and Intramural activities, academic and personal support through our dean's behavioral intervention model, student conduct, and four centers for student engagement. The Division also supports over 100 student organizations and leadership programs.
