Terry Farrell Walker, Sr. is the Director of Chapel Relations at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College. He is an ordained Baptist minister guided by an ecumenical spirit and an interfaith perspective. He serves as a board member for several non-profits and consults in areas of fundraising and organizational development. Terry earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Morehouse College, including serving as Student Director of the famed Morehouse College Glee Club, Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, where he also helped launch the Youth Theological Initiative and worked as Assistant Director, and has completed additional graduate work in philanthropic studies at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University where he also earned the Certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Fund Raising School. Personal and professional interests include: philanthropy and the African American community; the role of the Church in community development and social justice; strengthening marriages and families; personal family genealogy; and music. He is also known as “Tumelo” (Sotho and Tswana) which means “faith” or “man of faith” conferred upon him during a trip to South Africa in 2005. He is married to Donna E. Thomas Walker, the father of three children, and grandfather of nine children.
