Post Election Panel Discussion

The Journalism and Sports Program of Morehouse College and Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications have joined efforts to bring together a distinguished panel of African American journalists and political scientists in a post-election roundtable discussion.

The panel participants include:

• Cynthia Tucker - Pulitzer Prize-Winning Journalist and Visiting Professor of Journalism and Writer-in-Residence, University of Georgia

• Grant Reeher, Ph.D. – Professor of Political Science, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University

• Hasan Crockett, Ph.D. - Professor of Political Science, Morehouse College

The discussion will focus on the decisive factors in the election, such as the role the media and political strategy played in the outcome. Our distinguished panelists will bring their unique perspectives on how the campaign extended or ended the tenure of the only African-American U.S. president.
