30th Annual Alton Hornsby Jr. Lecture

The Morehouse History Club is pleased to announce the upcoming 30th Annual Alton Hornsby, Jr. Lecture. This is the longest running student-run lecture at Morehouse College. The guest speaker is Dr. Angela Hornsby-Gutting. Her topic is entitled, "Woman's Work': Race, Foreign Missions, and Respectability in the National Training School for Women and Girls." Dr. Hornsby-Gutting's topic is based on her current research on race activist Nannie Helen Burroughs. Her presentation will examine the global and gendered complexities of Burroughs' pedagogy.
