Message regarding End of Year Appeal LetterDate Released: December 23, 2016
Earlier this week, our end of the year appeal letter was mailed out by our selected vendor with a formatting error. In addition, the vendor mailed a version of the letter intended for graduates of the College to a group of college supporters who are not alumni—again, in error.
Even though neither mistake was on our part, both were indeed on our watch. And because that is what matters, we want you to know that we deeply regret it and take full responsibility for it. We also regret, yet fully understand that some of you are concerned that this was not the first communication with errors from the College.
As we approach our sesquicentennial year, we want you all to know that we are recommitting ourselves to high quality communication and engagement with you. President Wilson has challenged the entire administrative team to make a renewed commitment to better, error-free communication.
He has also urged us to develop more high-quality engagements with you on the road ahead. We take as much pride in Morehouse College as you do. We will continue to uphold excellence and attempt to inspire pride in all that we do!
Once again, we wish you and your family a happy holiday season!
