The Office of Student Services is the official liaison between the College, the student body and parents/guardians with specific responsibility for all chartered student organizations including, but not limited to, the Student Government Association, International/National Fraternities, Campus Alliance for Student Activities, and the Respect and Diversity Committee. The vision of Student Services is that all men of Morehouse will be “actively engaged” in their undergraduate experience, taking advantage of the myriad of opportunities available outside of the classroom to gain leadership experience and to enhance one’s total holistic development.
The Vice President for Student Services, Dr. William B. Bynum, Jr. oversees the total network of departments, programs, services and activities designed to enrich and support students’ out-of-classroom experiences and co-curricular learning. This includes supervision of the Athletic Director and Intercollegiate Athletics as Morehouse is a member of the NCAA Division II and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). Organizationally, Vice President Bynum is assisted with the supervision and oversight of division offices and services by the Associate Vice President/Dean of Men and Academic Advising Services, Mr. Renardo A. Hall. Dean Hall directly supervises the offices of the Associate Dean for Student Services; Housing and Residential Life; Student Life and Development; Student Conduct; Counseling and Disability Services; and Student Health Services . The Associate Dean, Rev. Harry S. Wright, Jr., has supervisory responsibility for the offices of Recreation, Intramurals and Fitness (RIF); Career Planning and Placement for Non-Business majors and the Office of International Student Services. He also serves as primary liaison to the Morehouse College Parents Council and to Regional Parent Associations, in addition to providing ombudsman services for students and families.
