Margaret R. jackson bio

 

Margaret R. Jackson is the Associate Vice President for Student Financial Services for Morehouse College. She is responsible for providing the students with prompt access to their financial resources and guided review of their student accounts. She is committed to excellent customer service and strives to support the students in their educational pursuits.

 

In this role, she provides leadership and oversees all student financial services; administrative office operations, policies and procedures, maintenance of all student accounts records, the billing, receipting and depositing of “all” monetary funds that come through he College, and the collection of all outstanding students indebtedness to the College.  She regularly meets with students, parents and other campus staff to advise them of the financial policies of the institution and upholds the financial integrity of good business practices.

 

Prior to joining Morehouse College in 1979, Ms. Jackson held positions at Bank of America, Bell South, and Devry Institute of Technology. She is a former teacher in the Spaulding and Walton County School Systems. She holds a Bachelors degree from Fort Valley State College with further studies at the Alliance Française in Paris, France.

 

She has served as the 2nd Vice President for Georgia Financial Aid Administrators (GASFFA) where she trained aid administrators.  Additionally, she has served in different capacities with several professional associations; among them are National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), Georgia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (GASFAA), Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA), and Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO).  Currently, she serves as a Board Member for the Boys and Girls Club and Jesus Set the Captives Free, Inc., a prison ministry.

 

Ms. Jackson enjoys singing, travelling, writing, event planning and family activities.
