MANdatory Academic Planning

One thing certain in life is that times of struggle will occur. MANdatory Academic Planning (MAP) is an intervention created to assist students whose midterm grades that suggest academic struggle. Students will partner with the Douglass Academic Resource Center staff and Peer Learning Facilitators in their journey of academic recovery.

The MAP program includes a combination of assessments, Work4Success Skillshops, one-on-one consultations, mandatory tutoring, and peer mentor interactions.

Students will:

  • utilize concepts and skills that resulted in previous academic success
  • enhance their academic skillset/strategies and further customize their skills/strategies to overcome potential barriers via individual sessions
  • integrate learning strategies and resources that will be useful across the disciplines
  • increase the likelihood/efficiency of meeting graduation requirements in a timely fashion via strategic planning and the utilization of college resources
